Well, I don’t know about you Reader but the energies of March certainly took me by storm.
If you attended a Sacral Sundays this month (my weekly reset ritual - hosted online every Sunday on zoom) then you heard me speak about March being that watery dreamy in-between month, where winter hasn’t quite finished and spring has not yet sprung.
And in that energy, we can find ourselves fall victim to some potential pitfalls that thwart our creative energy.
Well, I’m here to tell you, no one is immune from this. I found myself confronted with the proper balance of doing and being this month, trying to dance between the masculine (doing/action) & feminine (being/receiving) yet getting a bit lost in the overdoing of it.
Because let’s face it, it’s very easy to “overdo it”.
In this world we’re taught that doing more is GOOD and doing less is BAD, and if we don’t pay enough attention, we can very easily end up in that place where we take on too much, and find ourselves depleted and disconnected.
This is why I am so grateful to have an amazing set of healing tools in my toolbox of life. A combination of somatic, energetic, physical and spiritual practices that help me reset and refocus my energy after falling into that overdoing energy. Luckily, I was able to rely on these heavily this month, and it has brought me back to center.

We’re now only days away from April, YAY, a month of renewal, sunshine (hopefully) and spring beginning to spring.
April is a fiery month, full of bold Aries energy, the beginning of the zodiacal year and the start of a Q2. A month of movement, change and renewed energy …the perfect breeding ground for creative projects. It also happens to be my birthday month, which makes it extra special. 😉
With the astrological year just beginning, it's the perfect time for fresh starts and new creative endeavors. Unlike January’s sometimes harsh “new year, new me” energy, April offers a more natural invitation to create, as this is a month where things begin to grow. The seeds we’ve planted in the first quarter of the year are now ready to be nurtured with the fiery energy that spring brings.
Fire is SUCH a powerful metaphor for creativity. It transforms, illuminates and energizes everything it touches, and that’s exactly what this month offers to us. We now have the opportunity to transform our ideas from concepts into reality, to illuminate our path toward and to energize our creative practice with renewed purpose.
What if we approach Q2 not with the pressure to produce, but with the excitement to play with FIRE? To let our ideas spark, to fuel our creativity, and to burn away anything that no longer serves us. I’ll tell you what… that kind of energy lights this Aries right up! 🔥

Creative ALCHEMY EXERCISE
This simple but powerful practice combines breath, sound, and visualization to ignite your creative energy:
- Find a comfortable seated position and place your hands on your belly.
- Inhale deeply through your nose, filling your belly with air.
- As you exhale through your mouth, make a soft "haaaaa" sound, imagining your breath as golden fire flowing out and through your lower abdomen (i.e. your creative center).
- Continue for 2-3 minutes, gradually increasing the intensity of your breath and sound.
- On your final exhale, visualize a glowing ember of creativity that remains lit within you, ready to spark your projects to life.
Practice this whenever you feel your creative energy waning or before starting a new project that needs that initial spark of inspiration. Igniting that fire inside you will give you the extra boost you need to see your creative vision come to life.
