Hey Reader,
We all know that feeling of “woulda, coulda, shoulda” am I right?
You know the one. It’s usually riddled with shame, probably a touch of disgust, and a whole lot of disappointment.
I haven’t written a newsletter in two months, and at one point, I would have shamed myself greatly for this.
But after years of building, I’ve learned to look at things differently.
Sometimes we need to give things space, to let things cook… so to speak.
Because if we take things out of the oven before they’re cooked, they just don’t come out right.
Since launching the Creative Alchemy Collective earlier this year, I’ve been pretty damn busy in the kitchen.
Testing, tweaking, experimenting, making adjustments…
It took time to figure out what worked and what didn’t. And not everything turned out the way I expected.
But I kept creating.
And now, with 12 week left until 2027, I’ve been thinking about everything that can happen we when give ourselves permission to start something, even when we don’t know how things will turn out.
Cuz here’s the tricky thing.
We can give our ideas all the time and space they need to develop. We can experiment, make mistakes, pivot and figure it out as we go..
But what happens if we never even start?
What happens to the ideas we keep putting off until tomorrow? Until we have more time. More money. More confidence. Until the conditions feel “just right”.
So the question really is: How much longer are you willing to wait?
Because in 12 weeks from now... you can either look back and wish you would have started, or look back and taste what you've been cooking.
What's brewing
I spent the last year experimenting with ideas, growing, building and testing.
And I did all of this in public. With full transparency when things went wrong.
There was a time I sent 50 emails at once to every member of my community 🫠 (in fact, I think that happened more than once).
And the onboarding experience when people were added to community spaces was admittedly more confusing than desirable... for most of the year.
There were lots of offers that nobody opted into. Ideas I was SURE would work that didn’t. And moments when I wondered if all this was actually worth it.
But I kept going.
And what at one point would have felt shameful… now feels empowering.
Because I had the courage to admit when things went wrong. I stayed the course even after what seemed like a million failures. And I kept moving even when I had no evidence that things were working.
I didn’t wait for proof that I could build something meaningful.
I built it until I had the proof.
And now, the Creative Alchemy Circle has become a space where I’m seeing creatives lit up about their ideas, making REAL progress on their projects, and bringing their visions to life.
And that’s not because I got it right the first time.
But because I kept showing up long enough to actually see my own vision become a reality.
And that brings me to what YOU are wanting to create.
How many times have you thought to yourself,
“I’ll start tomorrow.” or “It’s not the right time.” or “If i could just do x then I can actually start.”
I know personally I have said each of these sentences in some form, probably hundreds of times.
But people don’t really talk about the toll that this deferment takes on the body, mind and spirit.
Because every time you postpone something that DEEPLY matters to you, you’re also postponing the experience of becoming the person who creates it.
That idea came to you... because it is meant for YOU.
It wouldn’t have come to you if you weren’t capable of actualizing it.
The problem is... there's a the gap between the current you and the you that can bring this thing to life.
And the gap doesn’t close after another month of learning, or planning, or waiting until you feel more confident or inspired.
It closes when you draw a line in the sand and say: “Now is the time I do things differently”.
That’s why I created the Creative Alchemy Circle.
Because I know that creatives need a safe space where they can nurture the projects they feel destined to make. One that was designed by taking all elements of the creative process into consideration... the good, the bad and the ugly.
The need for structure, but also fluidity.
A place to find your rhythm, set your pace, and build a practice that feels sustainable and fits YOUR life.
The permission granted to show up authentically, even if that looks messy, confused, afraid or lost.
And the likeminded people who are also on the journey bringing their own creative visions to life. The ones who get it. Who are there to celebrate your wins, cheer you on, and hold space for the moments when things don’t go as planned.
Because you don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin.
You just need a place where you can begin figuring it out.
JUST FOR YOU:
Creative AlCHEMY EXERCISE
Let’s take 5 minutes to meet the version of you who’s already started.
Grab a journal and imagine it’s December 31st, 2026.
It’s been 12 weeks since you drew that line in the sand and decided to finally start the thing that’s been begging you to create it.
Ask yourself:
- What does that one project look like now that I stopped postponing it and instead started creating it?
- What actions did I take consistently even when I didn’t feel ready?
- How do I feel about myself now knowing that I honored this part of me by taking action?
- What is possible for me now that I know this new version of myself?
Write down whatever comes to mind. Then choose ONE action you can take in the next 24 hours to start closing the gap between where you are and where you want to be in 12 weeks.
It doesn’t have to be some grand gesture. It just has to be something.
